Alessi RS517 La Cintura Di Orione Steak Knife by Richard Sapper and Alberto Gozzi Overview
Alessi RS517 This steak knife from Alessi's "La Cintura Di Orione" Cutlery Set features a molded 1.4116 steel blade and also boasts a sturdy handle in POM (polyoxymethylene) with thumb and index protection. This steak knife will be a welcome addition to your dining experience and is perfect for cutting through grilled steaks or pork chops. Designed by Richard Sapper with Alberto Gozzi's advice, this cutlery set was a continuation of research which in 1996 led to the creation of a set of pots and pans with the same name and designed for private gourmets. Gozzi had always aspired to create a set of knives not only suitable for great chefs and domestic gourmets, but also for the home cook. Sapper and Gozzi believed that it was essential to consider the hands as an integral part of every utensil, which is why it has to be made so that it can be firmly gripped. By dedicating proportionately greater space to the handles with respect to the blades, the handles are more ergonomic in size and shape and offer a stronger grip so they can be controlled easily and firmly.
